We are seeking a skilled Materials Workshop Assistant with a strong interest in woodworking and carpentry. In this role, you will assist in the design, creation, and construction of wooden products and prototypes, using skills like, keen eye for detail and craftsmanship to deliver high-quality results. You will have the opportunity to learn while contributing to exciting projects. As part of our team, you will assist with the creation of custom wood products, gaining hands-on experience with a wide range of tools, techniques, and materials.
Your Responsibilities Will Include
- Hands-on learning and assisting in the design, cutting, shaping, and assembly of wood products
- Participation in the production and assembly of wooden structures
- Use of hand tools and modern woodworking machinery to manufacture products to specifications
- Participating in cutting, shaping and assembling wooden products
- Production of furniture, cabinets and other wooden constructions
- Collaboration in the measurement as well as in the design of each construction
- Ensuring that the work area remains clean and tidy, with proper storage of tools and materials
- Participating in inventory management of materials and supplies
- Collaborate with the team to complete projects on time and with high quality standards
- Other tasks as assigned
What You Will Need
- Previous experience and knowledge of wooden structures is desirable
- Experience using woodworking tools (basic hand tools and advanced machinery) would be preferred
- Ability to understand plans and dimensions, as well as perception of space and volumes
- Attention to detail and accuracy in all work
- Desire for continuous development and skill development
- Team spirit and effective communication in a carpentry workshop environment
- Driver’s license
