Job Description
Marathon Petroleum Company currently has a vacancy for a highly motivated individual to fill an Administrative Assistant position within the Transport Fleet Operations Team. The successful candidate will have strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills and be able to work in a team environment. The successful candidate will provide administrative and office support activities for their assigned group. Duties may include fielding telephone calls, receiving and directing visitors, word processing, filing, and scanning/faxing. Extensive software skills are required, as well as internet research abilities and strong communication skills. Travel required for this position up to 15%.
Responsibilities:
- Provide regional support to the Transport Fleets.
- Assist with day-to-day administrative and clerical functions.
- Perform records management.
- Support backfill opportunities as needed.
- Assist, facilitate, and execute payroll entries.
- Generate, review, and analyze data from operating systems.
- Communication and computer utilization skills will be paramount in the successful support of these individuals.
Qualifications:
- Must possess High School Diploma or GED.
- Strong organizational skills, excellent keyboarding skills, knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to work with confidential information.
- Completion of work within specified time restrictions is essential.
