Position Summary

The Supply Chain Item Master Specialist is responsible for administering and maintaining the integrity and accuracy of item master data within the supply chain system. This role involves collaborating with various departments to ensure all items are correctly defined, managed, and updated, thus supporting efficient inventory management, procurement, and logistics operations.

Monday to Friday | 9 AM to 6 PM EST

Work onsite (Bridge Town, QC)

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update item master records, ensuring accurate data entry and adherence to company standards.
  • Collaborate with purchasing, inventory management, and manufacturing teams to define new items and categorize products effectively.
  • Conduct regular audits of item master data to identify inconsistencies and implement corrective actions.
  • Assist in the development and optimization of item master processes, policies, and best practices.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for item master data inquiries and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Support system enhancements and projects related to item master data management.
  • Generate and analyze reports related to item master data, providing insights to improve supply chain efficiency.
  • Train and guide staff on best practices for entering and maintaining item master data.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in supply chain management or data management roles, preferably with item master systems.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in using ERP systems and data management software (e.g., IFS, SAP, Oracle).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
