Product Operations Specialist – Payments

Job Description

The Product Operations Specialist provides operational support for Billtrust’s various products. This position is involved in the daily processes by which payments and transactions flow through the Billtrust platform, and are reported and paid out to customers. The Product Operations Specialist provides support to both internal and external customers, owning issues to resolution. This position partners with internal teams to identify areas for improvement, automation, and scale.

What You’ll Do:

  • Assist in the onboarding of new customers by managing configurations in third party and partner platforms
  • Respond and own resolution to both internal and external inquiries submitted via ticketing tools
  • Troubleshoot complex issues involving payment, transactions, and data flow
  • Assist with internal and external inquiries related to billing and monthly reporting
  • Gather data and prepare reports for internal and external stakeholders based on processing activity
  • Identify functionality gaps and develop opportunities for improvement that supports growth and scale of products
  • Assist with developing new operational processes and procedures to support the company’s products
  • Facilitate communication between internal teams, customers, and third parties such as financial institutions
  • Coach and collaborate with team, supporting collective team and individual KPIs

What You’ll Bring

  • Experience in a financial operations, payment operations or treasury operations role; 3+ years of relevant experience preferred
  • Proven ability to interface with internal and external stakeholders to manage expectations and deadlines; i.e. scheduling, communication, escalation and risk analysis
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to effectively answer complex questions related to financial data
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and a results-driven attitude
  • Continued proven track record of successfully prioritizing work efforts based upon customer needs, committed delivery dates and complexity, in a rapidly-changing environment
  • Ability to partner with various teams to identify and implement areas for improvement, automation, and scale
  • Clear, effective communication style
  • Fluency in Excel and exposure to other analytics/reporting tools
  • Bachelor’s Degree and/or 3+ years of related work experience

The base salary for this position is $70,000- $80,000.

Compensation may vary depending on several factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, experience, competencies, and geographic location. Some roles may qualify for extra incentives like equity, commissions, or other variable performance-related bonuses.
