Job Description
Production Planning
- Ideate and implement strategic visions to create and improve production, quality, and labor utilization throughout the facility
- Plan, schedule, organize, direct and run optimum day-to-day operations to meet the need of the customers and organization.
- Ensure that all process line schedules are in accordance with facility capabilities, customer requirements, economic performance, and planning, expediting as needed
- Increasing production, assets capacity and flexibility while maximizing unnecessary costs and maintaining quality standards
Maintenance of Quality standards
- Investigate and implement innovative methods of manufacturing processes to reduce costs and improve quality of the product
- Reviews production reports to ensure safety, quality, financial, and delivery goals and standards are met
- Design, prepare test for manufacturing methods to ensure high quality and efficiency
Health and Safety of Staff
- Ensures a healthy and safe working environment, and compliance with state regulations, through collaboration with environmental, health, and safety staff.
- Conduct routine audits of equipment’s and schedules
- Comply with quality assurance and standards to assure manufacturing of high-quality products
- Commitment to safety procedures
Budget
- Budget and manage manufacturing cost structures by developing and maintaining operational expenses within budget allowance, and investigate cost-reduction measures
- Work with chief financial officer to develop operating budget
Manufacturing Staff Optimization
- Build and maintain a trusting relationship with employees
- Communicate with employees about performance expectations
- Determine KPIs and measure them on a regular basis
- Implement strategies in alignment with strategic initiatives and provide a clear sense of direction and focus Identify training requirement for staff to build and improve skills
The Successful Applicant
A successful ‘Head Manufacturing India’ should have:
- BTech/BE Mechanical
- Proficiency in English verbal and written communication skills
- In depth knowledge of business and management principles (budgeting, strategic planning, resource allocation and human resources)
- Outstanding communication, interpersonal and leadership skills
- Knowledge of safety, quality, productivity, demand creation and inventory processes
- Minimum experience – 15 – 17 years
