Description
We are seeking a sales rep with private markets experience and an understanding of portfolio management, transaction tracking, performance calculation or fund administration within an allocator or similar firm. A strong understanding of economics and the drivers of the firm’s investment strategy is preferred. Colmore’s sales professionals work across the deal lifecycle, from direct prospecting and building RFP responses to quarterbacking proof of concepts through to deal closing. The representative will benefit from a strong pipeline of existing deals and funneling deals from our parent company through the sale cycle efficiently. A coachable attitude is a must and travel is required 10-20% of the time (2-4 days a month on average).
What You’ll Be Doing
- Source and generate new business opportunities through direct outreach, marketing campaigns, channel partners and network referrals
- Perform deep discovery calls and product demonstrations to prospective clients
- Collaborate closely with prospective clients to develop a deep understanding of the client use case and deliver creative and thoughtful solutions through the Colmore & Preqin product set
- Manage the sales lifecycle, including proof of concepts, RFPs, Proposals and contracting
- Partner with internal operational and technology teams to support the sales process Represent Colmore at industry events, in parent company offices, and onsite presenting to clients
- Deliver effective pipeline reporting & forecasting
- Produce sales against a quota and inform management of any potential shortcomings as early as reasonable
What You’ll Bring To Us
- Deep understanding of the private market ecosystem, with experience selling technology or services to Limited Partners and Allocators.
- Outstanding intuition in understanding and consulting with prospects / clients through highly complex sales processes.
- Experience consulting, strategizing and negotiating with C-Level executives within sales processes
- Experience working within an Allocator or Limited Partner shop
- Demonstrated high quality results in a similar business environment
