Machine Learning Engineer
Job Description
THE DAY-TO-DAY
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams of engineers and data scientists to address complex business challenges.
- Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable AI/ML services for high-throughput production workloads.
- Learn and implement MLOps best practices to support robust model lifecycle pipelines.
- Assist in integrating emerging Generative AI techniques into production-grade systems.
- Write high-quality, production-ready, and scalable code.
- Actively participate in code reviews and team discussions to improve the quality and performance of ML solutions.
MUST HAVE
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- 2+ years of experience in a Machine Learning Engineering or similar role.
- Experience deploying machine learning models in production environments.
- Proficiency in programming with at least one of the following languages: Go or Python.
- Familiarity with ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch).
- Eagerness to learn and implement MLOps best practices, focusing on scalability and reliability.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and solve technical challenges.
GREAT TO HAVE
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related field.
- Experience in the Ad Tech industry or digital advertising systems.
- Familiarity with distributed computing frameworks (e.g., Spark, Ray, or Dask).
- Knowledge of cloud platforms and services (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
- Understanding of data privacy, security, and compliance in machine learning systems.

In accordance with California law, the range provided is Viant’s reasonable estimate of the compensation for this role. Final title and compensation for the position will be based on several factors including work experience and education.
