Role and Responsibilities
The COO reports directly to the CEO, overseeing all operational aspects of project management, resource allocation, quality assurance, safety compliance, and financial oversight. The COO implements processes, aligned with corporate strategic objectives, to improve efficiency, profitability, customer satisfaction, and ensure on-time delivery within budget.
- Oversee daily operations across five regional facilities (and potentially more), managing 5–7 projects per facility each day to ensure smooth execution and high-quality outcomes.
- Manage resource allocation, including labor, equipment, and materials, to maximize operational efficiency and project success.
- Develop and implement operational strategies by reviewing business goals, tracking progress with the executive team, analyzing KPIs, and setting objectives for continuous growth.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, industry standards, and legal requirements to maintain a secure and compliant workplace.
- Monitor project budgets and financial performance, identifying opportunities to improve profitability and cost management.
- Strengthen customer relationships and maintain clear communication with stakeholders to drive satisfaction and long-term loyalty.
- Implement quality control measures to ensure all projects meet or exceed company and customer standards.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement by identifying areas for optimization and driving innovative solutions.
- Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions and maintain operational stability.
- Drive the adoption of new technologies to enhance efficiency, productivity, and overall business performance.

Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years C-level or senior operational leadership experience in the residential construction industry.
- Proven track record of significant impact during periods of rapid company growth, scaling operations effectively and efficiently.
- Extensive experience developing and implementing standard operating procedures (SOPs) to optimize operational performance.
- Exceptional ability to gather, analyze, and improve KPIs across multiple locations, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
- Demonstrated success managing operations for a company with a yearly revenue exceeding $25M, including geographically dispersed facilities.
- Strong strategic mindset with the ability to translate high-level business goals into actionable operational plans.
- Outstanding leadership and team development skills, with a focus on fostering collaboration and accountability.
- Solid understanding of safety regulations, industry standards, and compliance requirements in the construction industry.
- Ability to identify and implement innovative technologies to enhance operational efficiency and drive growth.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to strengthen relationships with customers, team members, and executives.
- Results-oriented, with a history of successfully managing risk, budgets, and resources to achieve operational excellence.
- Experience with Salesforce is a plus.

Type: Fulltime, Travel needed (25%-50%)
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday
Paid Structure: Base Salary ($200,000+) plus Bonus
We prefer candidates who can relocate to San Diego.
