Job Description

The Regional Director of Retail partners with Vice President Retail and Global Retail Excellence team to define and implement business strategies in the region. Partners cross functionality to translate the values and create the vision and tone for the store network while driving a highly successful and profitable business. Empower store leaders to develop market specific business plans that will drive traffic and develop client base. Be knowledgeable of the local market and business environment trends including competitor landscape. Partners cross functionally to support and deliver network expansion with notable autonomy for hiring, training and sales. Remains up to date on retail property market in the region. Makes recommendations to the Vice President for store renovations/upgrades/expansion to increase sales of existing markets and develop new ones.

Leadership

  • Lead teams promoting LOEWE culture, and values.
  • Lead with empathy and listening to build understanding and build consensus.
  • Provide and support both formal and informal training building a culture of consistent growth and learning.
  • Performance
  • Review performance to set strategies and implement actions to get results
  • Improve retail KPI’s including but not limited to CRM, NPS and productivity to define areas of opportunity that will improve sales as well as client engagement and retention.
  • Deliver Golden KPI’s in all stores with local retention, appointment revenue, client acquisition and segmentation growth to exceed global targets.
  • Empower and mentor teams to meet assigned sales and efficiency goals

People

  • Partner proactively with Store Leadership to build an ‘always’ hiring culture to attract best in class talent and promoting personal development.
  • Mentor and coach Store Managers on identifying solutions and adapting to respective store and to develop their managerial skills
  • Be an active partner with HR to find opportunities for store team and personal development

Stores

  • Ensure store standards are presented at the highest standard and are brand reflective – cleanliness, repairs and maintenance as well as organization of the front and back of house.
  • Be an active partner with the VM team ensuing store presentation reflects each collection, equally offering a compelling commercial execution and anticipated results.
  • Use business analytics to review collection performance and where required in partnership with the VM team implement changes to drive sales and sell through.
  • Ensure team grooming and styling adheres to Loewe standards, leading by example.

Operations

  • Monitor and coach to all company standard operating procedures, notably: cash and payment handling, Inventory management as well as safety and security.
  • Complete biannual inventories with focus on reconciliation and subsequent actions to minimize loss and improve inventory accuracy.

Work Experience:

  • 10 years of proven experience in retail with a focus on management & operations; professional experience in a leading network expansion is a plus Product experience in luxury or high end retail is highly desirable and specifically Leather Goods (LG), Ready-to-Wear (RTW)

  • Acute sense of North American luxury market and diverse luxury consumer behaviors.
  • Proven track record to motivate sales teams with a clear set of challenging objectives.
  • Comfortable dealing with ambiguity or change and receptive to many different points of view while focusing on achieving results
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively.
  • Well versed and comfortable with public speaking and corporate presentations.
  • Comfortable in a growing and fast-paced business with competing/changing priorities.
  • Exceptional organization skills Fluent in Spanish or French a plus but not required
  • Must have strong computer skills – Powerpoint, Excel, Word.
  • Experience with Cegid a plus.
  • Prior experience in visual merchandising a plus

Work Requirements:

  • Able to travel domestically 40% of the time and sometimes at short notice. For 2 weeks continuously on occasion.
  • Able to travel internationally for periods up to 2 weeks at a time at least 4 times a year.
  • Able to engage in an internationally connected environment – Adhoc availability during CET business hours while in the US.

The compensation for this position ranges from $170,000-$205,000. The rate of pay offered will be dependent upon candidate’s relevant skills and experience. In addition, there is a comprehensive benefits package including: medical, dental, vision, short and long-term disability, various paid time off programs, employee discount/perks, and a retirement plan with employer contribution.
