Job Title: Logistics Executive

Key Responsibilities

  • Supply Chain Management: Oversee the entire supply chain process, including procurement, manufacturing, and distribution. Develop and implement strategies to enhance efficiency, mitigate risks, and ensure seamless operations1.
  • Vendor Relations: Build and maintain robust relationships with vendors and suppliers. Negotiate contracts, ensure quality standards, and ensure timely deliveries1.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels, forecast demand, and implement inventory management systems to reduce excess stock and associated costs.
  • Delivery Monitoring: Ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods. Monitor delivery schedules and address any issues that arise.
  • Logistics Documentation: Handle logistics documentation, delivery tracking, and receiving of goods.
  • Cost Management: Perform analysis of logistics operations budget and expenses. Determine the most cost-effective and efficient means of transportation services3.
  • Team Management: Lead and manage logistics personnel, ensuring the achievement of cost, productivity, and accuracy objectives.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously seek ways to improve logistics processes and streamline the flow of goods from order to delivery.
  • Customer Service: Ensure an uninterrupted flow of materials, supplies, and services to meet customer demand.
  • Reporting: Provide regular reports on logistics operations, including inventory valuation and performance metrics.

Skills And Qualifications

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience: Proven experience in logistics management or a related field.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in logistics software and tools, knowledge of inventory management systems.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
  • Organizational Skills: Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.

Work Environment

  • Office and Field: The role may involve both office-based work and field visits to warehouses, distribution centers, and supplier sites.
