Description

Applies developing business process and project management skills within an area of business or technical specialty. Manages small portions of well-defined projects. Provides administrative and logistics support for a project team and project manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serves as a resource on projects and work assignments, employing basic knowledge of effective project management and general business understanding.
  • Identifies, tracks, and collaborates with others to resolve project issues.
  • Monitors and communicates project status to the project team.
  • Assists with budget planning and tracking, research, and analytical support; provides input into the design and development of project plans and timelines.
  • Assists with managing project risks; uses quality tools to identify areas of risk.
  • Documents and shares team learnings with other teams; leverages past experiences to enhance project success.
  • Maintains project notes, databases, and other records; monitors measures and communicates with the Project Manager on the status of specific projects and assignments.

  • Technical Skills:
  • Good understanding of an NPD (New Product Development) project development cycle.
  • Proficiency in computer applications including MS Office and MS Project.
  • Project Management:
  • Project Issue and Risk Management: Identifies, assesses, and prioritizes risks and issues, using recommended tools and disciplines to minimize negative impacts.
  • Project Resource Management: Develops resource (expense and headcount) plans using recommended project management tools and processes.
  • Project Schedule Management: Manages planned schedules using appropriate tools to ensure completion within agreed timelines.
  • Project Scope Management: Ensures that all work required for project success is included and managed efficiently.

Experience

  • Minimal level of relevant work experience required.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering field.
  • PMP Certification – Preferred.
