Jonathan’s Place (JP) is a nonprofit organization that has been caring for abused, abandoned, and neglected children, teens, and young adults for over 32 years. Find more information about JP at www.jpkids.org. We are accepting applications for a full-time Grant Writer. The Grant Writer is responsible for writing and reviewing grant proposals for all JP programs.

Responsibilities Include:

· 3+ years of successful grant writing experience to foundations, governmental entities, and corporations.

· Determines grant concepts by identifying and clarifying opportunities and needs, studying requests for proposal (RFPs), and attending strategy meetings.

  • Meets proposal deadline by establishing priorities and target dates for information gathering, writing, review, and transmittal.
  • Enters and monitors tracking data.
  • Develops proposal by assembling information including project nature, objectives/outcomes/deliverables, implementation, methods, timetable, staffing, budget, standards of performance, and evaluation.
  • Writes, revises, and edits drafts including executive summaries, conclusions, and organization credentials.
  • Must have strong written and communication skills.
  • Must have a strong attention to detail and time management.
  • Provide additional department support as needed.

Required Education and Experience:

· Bachelor’s Degree and 3+ years of grant writing experience
