Job Overview

We have a vacancy for a Bank Domestic staff member to join our team at Humber Teaching NHS Foundation Trust. This position will cover all Bridlington sites, including Manor House Surgery, The Medical Centre, Health Trainers, Becca House, East House, and Unit A-Bessingby Way. The role involves various shifts on different days.

We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated individual with strong interpersonal and communication skills to work collaboratively within our teams.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a clean and hygienic environment for patients, staff, and visitors in accordance with the National Standards of Cleanliness. This will involve delivering a complete cleaning service throughout the centre.

Main duties of the job

Typically, Domestic staff member perform the following tasks during a domestic cleaning session:

  • Dusting surfaces at both high and low levels.
  • Cleaning bedrooms and bathrooms.
  • Cleaning offices and communal areas.
  • Dusting and polishing shelves, picture frames, and furniture.

Person specification

Qualifications And Knowledge

Essential criteria

  • 2 GCSEs/O levels English and Maths or demonstrable experience
  • Knowledge of HACCP and COSHH
  • Good literacy skills

Desirable criteria

  • 3 or more GCSE/O levels

Experience

Essential criteria

  • Previous working experience with HACCP and COSHH
  • Working knowledge of keeping track of cleaning materials

Desirable criteria

  • Previous experience of cleaning
  • Previous experience working mental Health / Community Services or similar environment

Skills And Competencies

Essential criteria

  • Team player as well as being able to work on your own
  • Confident, adaptable, and flexible in approach to working practices

Desirable criteria

  • Demonstrate an understanding of the needs of people with mental health problems.
  • Ability to work under pressure and be able to prioritise/meet deadlines.
