Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) FT and PT positions available in Dauphin County
The BHT provides one-to-one assistance to children/adolescents following individual treatment plans designed to teach skills and interventions to help them succeed in the classroom/community/home environment.
The Challenge, In a Nutshell
- Prompt interventions in the areas of behavior management, conflict resolution, anger management, and peer interaction skills based on the treatment plan goals provided by a Behavior Consultant or Mobile Therapist.
- Collect daily data and document progress notes in a prescribed format for each session with the child/adolescent.
- Complete initial and annual training as required
What You Need To Be SUCCESSFUL In The CHALLENGE
- Passion for patient care and a desire to make positive change in someone’s life
- Proficiency in Excel, MS Word and ability to learn and efficiently utilize other computer applications such as EMR
- Must possess or have ability to obtain Act 33, Act 34 and FBI clearances
- Valid PA Driver’s license
- Certification as a BCaBA, RBT, BCAT, behavior health or behavior analysis certification, or HS diploma or equivalent and be willing and able to complete 40-hour RBT TASK List as evidenced by a certification, or have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in the provision of behavioral health services
