Position Overview
As the Program Director, you will oversee youth and adult sports programs, including soccer, basketball, volleyball, cross-country, and childwatch services. You will also lead specialty camps and coordinate youth and family activities to ensure high-quality, age-appropriate programs that engage participants and families. In this role, you will supervise part-time staff, gym monitors, and volunteer coaches, fostering a positive and inclusive culture.
Your role will be integral in building strong relationships with members, participants, and community organizations, while collaborating with other branch leaders to create a welcoming and supportive environment for all. This hands-on position requires availability during afternoons, evenings, and weekends.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee youth and adult sports programs, including leagues, camps, and specialty programs, ensuring high levels of participant engagement and program quality.
- Manage Child Watch services, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for children and families.
- Supervise part-time staff, gym monitors, and volunteer coaches, promoting a positive, team-oriented culture.
- Coordinate youth and family activities, building meaningful connections with members and participants.
- Collaborate with other departments to deliver a seamless member experience.
- Develop and manage program budgets, ensuring financial sustainability while meeting performance goals.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with members, community partners, and stakeholders through effective communication.
- Drive program growth, focusing on recruitment, retention, and participant satisfaction.
Qualifications
- A college degree in a related field is preferred.
- At least three years of programmatic experience in youth sports, with well-rounded knowledge of sports programming and best practices.
- Proven experience leading staff and volunteers critical to the success of sports programs.
- Demonstrated ability to manage large sports programs and budgets.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Computer proficiency and program administration experience are essential.

Compensation/Benefits
- Competitive salary range: $44,000 – $47,000 based on experience and qualifications.
