About The Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Job Specialty: Emergency Room (ER) Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 10:00 AM – 10:30 PM Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum of 2 years required License: State License (MI LARA) Certifications: BLS, ACLS – AHA Must-Have: – Two Supervisory Reference Forms, taken within the last two years – Skills Checklist, current to 1 year, pertinent to the specialty – Candidate’s permanent address Job Description: – Provide direct patient care and demonstrate competent clinical practice. – Triage patients, obtain patient history and vital signs, and assess patients. – Act independently to initiate immediate care in the absence of a physician in life-threatening situations. – Care for both acutely ill and non-acute patients. – Perform multiple procedures using both complex and simple nursing skills, and assist the physician with their procedures. – Offer physical and psychological comfort to patients, their families, and visitors. – Provide discharge and follow-up instructions to patients and their families. – Respond to ambulance radios and provide appropriate orders for pre-hospital care without assistance. – Work with sophisticated equipment and handle various patient types in a frequently stressful environment. – Every other weekend work is required. Facility Specific Requirement: – Local candidates living within a 50-mile radius are not eligible for this position.
