Job Description
The Admissions Director is responsible for overseeing the admissions process at our Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF), ensuring a smooth and efficient transition for prospective residents and their families. This role involves managing marketing efforts, building strong relationships with referral sources, and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards while meeting census and revenue goals.
Key Responsibilities
Admissions Process Management
- Coordinate and oversee the entire admissions process, including pre-admission assessments, documentation, and the onboarding of new residents.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to determine the facility’s ability to meet the needs of prospective residents.
- Ensure that all admission paperwork is completed accurately and in compliance with state and federal regulations.
Census and Revenue Goals
- Monitor census levels and implement strategies to meet or exceed occupancy goals.
- Identify and implement opportunities to enhance revenue through improved admission processes and targeted marketing efforts.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in admissions, marketing, or case management within a healthcare or long-term care setting.
Skills And Competencies
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-focused approach.
- In-depth knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance processes.
- Ability to build and maintain professional relationships with referral sources and families.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
