Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree from a University
- Minimum 2 years of experience with exposure to several HSE areas preferably in Logistics or Supply Chain Operation
- C, B class safety expert certificate
- Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 50001, ISO 45001,
- Knowledge of ADR will be an asset
- IOSH certificate will be an asset
- Fluency in English both written and spoken
- Competent with MS Office
Job Description:
- Initiate and influence integration of HSE policies and practies into the company
- Assist with / implement safety documented processes and procedures at location.
- Assist with any safety related audit items.
- Complete / assist with safety awareness and safety training at location.
- Ensure that the Safety incident reporting procedure is in place.
- Complete / assist with implentation of safety standards with sub-contractors and any new projects.
- Maintain Safety Data Sheets and other hazardous communication information regarding chemicals used in the workplace.
- Manage recordkeeping and reporting requirements associated with environmental permits, stormwater permits, and testing, air permits, waste disposal, and other reporting
- Act as the primary contact in the event of HSE inspections from internal and external sources
- Participate in meetings and perform toolbox talks as needed.
- Advise management on corrective actions required.
- To perform process and occupational safety risk analyzes or revisions.
- To create emergency response plan, to train workforce and to coordinate test plans on defined frequency and to validate emergency action plan.
- Engage in activities associated with satisfying business, customer and regulatory expectations
- Ensure the attainment and sustenance of any certification at the site being carried out
