Description
Medical Practice Leader
General Medical Consultants is the trusted partner in preoperative medical consultation and risk stratification. At Gen Med, our team of board –certified internal medicine physicians, dedicated exclusively to perioperative medicine, specializing in providing through preoperative evaluations.
We are seeking an experienced multi-site medical practice leader with the ability to partner with our five OrthoAlliance partner practices supporting our commitment to seamless patient care for our surgical patients.
The ideal candidate will be experienced in managing multiple clinic locations as well as satellite locations within the OrthoAlliance partner practices. This role requires an effective communicator, manager and collaborate with the Gen Med teams, OA corporate partners, Gen Med physicians as well as our physician partners.
Position Responsibilities/Standards
General Responsibilities:
- Collaborate effectively and appropriately with each Partner/Physician, all MSO partners, external vendors, and staff.
- Demonstrate adaptability by managing change and competing projects efficiently; maintain balance despite conflicting demands.
- Build and lead effective teams by defining success in terms of the whole team; develop and manage talent, providing current, direct, complete, and actionable feedback.
- Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge and understanding of all company policies and procedures.
- Uphold integrity and trust, making ethical decisions and being widely trusted.
- Leads a positive and constructive work culture through managers of administration and clinic operations
- Exercise sound judgment by taking appropriate actions regarding questionable findings or concerns.
Specific Duties
- Oversee all aspects of practice operations, including clinic and administrative functions.
- Establish clear KPIs and performance expectations for practice managers, driving a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.
- Provide data analysis and develop strategic recommendations for growth and achieving strategic objectives.
- Develop forward-looking forecasting and budgeting processes, ensuring alignment with practice goals and physician partner expectations.
- Advocate for the practice with MSO partners, building strong, trusted relationships.
- Develop meaningful reporting tools and metrics to benchmark company performance, growth, and identify trends.
- Research opportunities for business optimization in vendor relationships, existing revenue streams, and process improvement.
Education/Experience Required
- 5+ years of progressive supervisory experience required
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field required
- MBA strongly preferred
