Job Overview

We are seeking a Junior Academic Counselor for a full-time position at SLBS Marklance. The role involves guiding students in course selection and providing career counseling, primarily for our campuses in Ernakulam, Cochin, Palakkad District, Thrissur, Kottayam, and Alappuzha. The ideal candidate will possess effective communication skills and has experience in academic and career counseling, aimed at driving business development.

Qualifications And Skills

• Strong business development skills to identify opportunities and forge new partnerships for student enrollment. (Mandatory skill)
• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with students, faculty, and external parties, ensuring clarity and understanding.
• Experience in academic counseling to guide students in defining and achieving educational goals suitable for their career aspirations.
• Proven career counseling competency to support students in exploring job prospects and aligning educational paths with industry demands.
• Knowledge in business development executive roles to facilitate growth in student registrations and institutional exposure.
• Ability to administer admissions processes, ensuring smooth onboarding of new students and compliance with institutional policies.
• Insight into the education industry, enabling effective course promotion and understanding student needs and career trends.
• Counseling experience to provide academic and emotional support, helping students adapt to challenges and maximize educational opportunities.

Roles And Responsibilities

• Conduct one-on-one counseling sessions with students to discuss educational and career options and assist them in making informed decisions.
• Collaborate with the admissions team to streamline application processes and improve the student onboarding experience.
• Develop and maintain relationships with potential students and industry partners to drive business development efforts.
• Organize and participate in educational fairs and workshops to promote institutional offerings and engage with prospective students.
• Evaluate student academic performance and provide recommendations and support for achieving academic success.
• Assist in developing educational programs and materials that meet student needs and industry standards.
• Monitor industry trends to provide insights and guide curriculum enhancements, ensuring relevance and competitiveness.
• Support the institutional objective of fostering a diverse and inclusive learning environment where all students can thrive.
