Position Type: Full-Time
Location: New Mexico
Pay: $22-$24 per hour (based on experience)
Per Diem: $8 per hour worked, in addition to base pay
Schedule: 6-day workweek, 10-hour shifts
Overview
We are seeking a motivated Apprentice Electrician with experience in the oil and gas industry to join our team in New Mexico. This role provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience while working alongside skilled professionals on industrial electrical systems in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist journeyman electricians in installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment in oil and gas facilities.
- Learn to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams.
- Support the troubleshooting of electrical issues to ensure minimal downtime.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance under supervision to ensure electrical systems meet safety and operational standards.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean, organized work environment.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.
Requirements
- Experience: Prior experience in the oil and gas industry is preferred.
- Technical Knowledge: Basic understanding of electrical systems, tools, and safety procedures.
- Physical Ability: Must be able to work in challenging environments and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Schedule Flexibility: Availability to work 6-day shifts with 10-hour days.
- Team Player: Willingness to learn, take direction, and work collaboratively with a team.
