Job Description
- Required version 2012,2014,2016 ,2017 and 2019
- OS Windows server 2012, 2016,2019
- On-Prem, Azure IaaS, Azure PaaS experience
- installation, configuration, and maintenance of MS SQL Server instances.
- DB Upgrades & Patching
- Monitor database performance and take proactive steps to optimize performance.
- Implement and manage database backup and recovery strategies.
- Ensure high availability and disaster recovery solutions are effectively implemented.
- Configure and maintain database servers and processes
- Monitor system’s health and performance
- Ensure high levels of performance, availability, sustainability and security
- HA, Replication, Clustering and Mirroring
- Analyze, solve, and correct issues in real time
- Provide suggestions for solutions
- Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes
- Assist developers with query tuning and schema refinement
- Provide 24×7 support for critical production systems
- Perform scheduled maintenance and support release deployment activities after hours
- Work on issues that couldn’t be resolved by L2 team.
- Manage L2 and L1 teams
Roles And Responsibilities
- Responsible for physical database architecture and design,capacity planning, development, performance tuning, implementation, and support of the applications from a database perspective.
- Conduct SQL Code Reviews to ensure coding standards, best practices and avoid potential performance issues.
- Attend CAB ( Change Advisory Board) meeting and get proper approvals from product owners to implement DB changes.
- Document operational or newly engineered solutions properly to educate and inform the clients and DBAs from the various levels of the organization.
- Work on Writing custom stored procedures, sql queries , powershell scripts , Linux Shell Scripts,views, and triggers based on requiremens for DB maintenance and automate tasks.
- Work on writing technical and RCA(Root Cause Analysis) documentation.
- Join bridge calls to troubleshoot and fix P1(SEV1) and P2 (SEV2) incidents.
- work on performance tuning like provide suggestions to crete indexes and tune stored procedures and deadlocks
