As a strategy consultant/manager, you’ll help drive Progressive’s corporate strategy development process, executing industry research and developing actionable ideas from emerging macro, industry and consumer trends. You’ll lead projects with varying size, scope and complexity and collaborate with various business groups to aid in business unit strategy, and will own projects end-to-end, developing insightful analyses and communicating in a compelling manner. In addition to supporting the trends ideation process, you’ll develop written perspectives on future competitive response scenarios. You’ll work with members of our senior leadership team, making recommendations and driving change, and will assist in the development of junior colleagues by providing coaching, feedback and opportunities for growth.

Location: This is a remote position. Local to Cleveland or Chicago preferred for occasional in-person meetings. This position will require quarterly travel to Cleveland for Strategy meetings and/or project work (estimated 4-6 times a year).

Must-have Qualifications

  • High school diploma/GED equivalent or higher and a minimum of 9 years related work experience in Business, Economics, or related field and at least 5 years of Corporate Strategy/relevant Consulting experience
  • {OR} Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business, Economics, or related fields (e.g., Marketing, Social Sciences) and a minimum of 6 years in related work experience in Business, Economics or related analytical field and at least 5 years of Corporate Strategy/relevant Consulting experience

Preferred Skills

  • Strong analytical and conceptual problem-solving skills; demonstrated comfort in dealing with ambiguity
  • Experience leading and mentoring a team or leading cross-functional project/initiative teams
  • Knowledge of market and industry research methodologies, processes and vendors, and familiarity with the insurance industry
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and influencing skills; Experience cultivating credibility by building strong, collaborative relationships with internal/external business partners and peers
  • Ability to synthesize data into meaningful insights that drive successful business actions

Compensation

  • $100,000 – $150,000/year
  • Gainshare bonus up to 40% of your eligible earnings based on company performance
