Cherry Hospital, an accredited State Psychiatric Hospital serving the eastern region of North Carolina, is now accepting applications for an Administrative Specialist I position. Riverbend School at Cherry Hospital provides educational services for adolescents and adults while they are receiving inpatient care. The purpose of this position is to support students in grades 6-12 through entering documentation in local and state databases for documentation of students. Also, this position works with other departments to ensure materials are on hand for the daily activities within the school. Therefore, the position will require the employee to have extensive knowledge related to technology, as well as skills in collaboration across all departments oat Cherry Hospital, the Department of Health and Human Services, the NC Department of Public Instruction and with school districts from eastern North Carolina or in some rare occasions, from other states. The position will require the employee to promote receptive, courteous, efficient/effective public image for Riverbend School when communicating with all. Lastly, this position will require someone who has knowledge of budgets and purchasing.

 Cherry Hospital (CH) is a State-of-the-Art psychiatric hospital located in a beautiful rural area of Goldsboro, NC.  Although rural, Cherry Hospital is convenient to the Triangle Area (Raleigh/Durham) and the coastal region of the state. It is about an hour’s drive to the heart of Raleigh or the beautiful coastal town of New Bern.
