Brief Description

R&S Northeast, LLC is seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Cybersecurity Analyst to work alongside the IT support team to maintain the security and integrity of all digital platforms. The Cybersecurity Analyst will report directly to the Director of IT and will be responsible for establishing, executing, and maintaining all cybersecurity policies, procedures, and processes, and documentation. In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity and compliance is required. The ideal candidate knows how to collaborate on large-scale projects but can also complete assigned tasks on his or her own.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute routine testing and auditing of systems and networks
  • Assist in the configuration and implementation of monitoring tools and software
  • Continuously monitor network traffic for suspicious activity and cyber attacks
  • Perform ethical hacking to simulate real-world cyberattacks and identify vulnerabilities, and provide remediation advice where necessary
  • Research and analyze new threats to determine risk and plan for mitigation
  • Provide security status reports and risk assessments, and communicate findings to management
  • Maintain up-to-date, detailed documentation for it policies, procedures, and processes
  • Develop and perform user training exercises to keep users informed and minimize the risk of human error
  • Additional duties assigned based on changes to business needs

Desired Qualifications

  • Knowledge of various network protocols, operating systems, and cybersecurity concepts
  • Strong understanding of it security frameworks, standards, and guidelines, including NIST and CMMC
  • Experience with vulnerability scanning and penetration testing methods
  • Ability to work with network security tools such as firewalls and endpoint security to identify, isolate, and mitigate threats
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and self-learning ability
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including occasional evening and weekend hours.
  • Professional certifications, such as CISSP, CCP, OSCP, or CEH

WORKING CONDITIONS/Physical Requirements

Must be able to travel as required with the ability to sit and stand for extended periods. Work environment is usually performed in a home, office or customer setting. Lift and carry product computer material weighing up to 15 lbs. Requires use of a computer, copier, fax, phone and other standard office equipment. Digital dexterity and hand/eye coordination in operation of office equipment. Body motor skills sufficient to move from one location to another.

Travel

Must be willing to travel office locations which will include daily and some overnight travel up to 10%
