Social Media Content Coordinator

Job Description

The HEAT Group is seeking to hire a Social Media Content Coordinator who is responsible for ideating, producing, maintaining and posting content for Miami HEAT, Kaseya Center, Miami HEAT Store and other auxiliary properties via Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, TikTok and other social media platforms. The ideal candidate for this full-time position will be a creative thinker who brings fresh, outside-the-box ideas to social media content. They will play a key role in helping tell the Miami HEAT brand story—on and off the court—through compelling, engaging, and innovative content created to connect with the HEAT Nation audience across the globe. Experience representing a brand’s social media presence is strongly preferred.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: The following are examples of the various functions required. The job requirements are not limited to the items on this list.

  • Responsible for ideating, planning, creating, and posting content covering Miami HEAT, Kaseya Center, Miami HEAT Store and other Miami HEAT social media channels as needed
  • Provide on-site coverage for Miami HEAT games and Kaseya Center concerts and events providing content for our social media platforms
  • Cover designated Kaseya Center concerts providing content for our social media platforms
  • Monitor daily social media trends, conversation and engagement focused around the Miami HEAT, Kaseya Center and Miami HEAT Store. This position would be required to respond and/or refer requests to appropriate departments for customer service action
  • Collaborate with Content and Creative Services departments to craft successful content development and ensure social media presence is in line with our brand and voice
  • Represent the social media team’s capacity to build, enhance and promote successful marketing campaigns in company meetings and other forms of collaboration
  • Other duties assigned by Sr. Social Media Manager

Education And/or Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field
  • Minimum of 1 year experience with either a publisher, brand or professional/college sports team.
  • Significant knowledge of Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, TikTok and other social media platforms
  • Knowledge of the game of basketball, Miami HEAT team news (both current and historical) and NBA storylines
  • Extensive knowledge of pop culture, current events, and social media/internet culture
  • Strong writing, creative, and analytical skills
  • Social media creativity and swift adaptability to current events
  • Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays for event and possible Miami HEAT game coverage
  • Ability to travel occasionally
  • Detail-oriented, well organized and able to handle multiple tasks in a timely and professional manner while taking initiative?
  • Outstanding communication, collaboration, and relationship building skills
  • Professional photography and Adobe Photoshop skills are a plus
  • Fluency in Spanish preferred
