JOB SPECIFICATION
JOB TITLE: Catering Supervisor
REPORTS TO: Assistant Residence Manager
Rimary Role
To provide an excellent standard of service, in accordance with the standards of the Palace, and strive to obtain maximum efficiency, working within a team and independently as required.
Key Responsibilities
Report for duty on time, in clean, stain-free pressed uniform. Neat appearance and high standard of personal hygiene and grooming to be maintained at all times.
Reports to Assistant Residence Manager, and communicate throughout the day regarding the program and for any new assignments.
Responsible for the F&B Team and coordination of F&B assignments.
Manage all F&B Team and day-to-day operations to the highest standards.
Lead F&B team by training and appraising personnel.
Ability to train with emphasis in motivation, development and teamwork.
Responsible for the quality of service in all food and beverage areas.
Ensure that all requests and queries are executed promptly and efficiently.
Knowledge of individual menu items, including dietary requirements, basic ingredients, preparation method, and serve all food and beverage in a professional and efficient manner. Maintain a record of dietary requirements and preferences.
Knowledge of set-ups and equipment to be used, e.g., types of flatware, chinaware, glassware, silverware and to know how and when they should be used.
Checking of new supplies, and arranging in the appropriate location, paying attention to stock rotation.
Good communication is essential with Principals and all members of staff. Action all requests. In a courteous and efficient manner.
Maintain a Communication Book, and be responsible for checking the Communications Book on a daily basis for special requests, deliveries, changes to procedure etc.
Liaise closely with chefs regarding menus and service requirements. Support the kitchen staff as and when necessary.
Prepare all back of house service points with regard to expected numbers for breakfast, lunch or dinner requirements.
Assist in creating a warm and welcoming environment and ensure that all front of house areas are clean, well presented and maintain at all times.
Practical hands-on approach to the job.
Reports possible hazards, equipment failures and accidents.
To achieve the highest standard through strict adherence to the hygiene and sanitation regulations for food, equipment, and clothing.

Security to be a priority at all times, and report any unusual behaviour in and around the Palace grounds.
Attend Departmental Meetings, Training Sessions, and Briefings, and understand the content of each session.
No items to be removed from the premises without authorization.
All Royal Court Rules and Regulations to be adhere to. All days off/holidays/leave to be taken as per Royal Court Policy, and permission from Supervisors/Manager.

Proven food and beverage management experience.
Excellent time management skills.
Service focused personality is essential.
Ability to be both a Team player and a Team leader when necessary.
High standard of personal presentation.
Excellent organization skills, effective under time constraints with particular attention to detail.
Ensures all communication is carried out clearly.
Ability to identify and resolve problems efficiently.
Mastery in delegating multiple tasks.
