Job Description
Responsible clerical and high-volume customer service work involving receiving, validating, and recording Morikami Museum admission payments and membership information in the point-of-sale (POS) system. Issues receipts; maintains accurate records; prepares daily cash reconciliation reports. Professionally interacts with Museum customers, staff, and volunteers. Responsible for maintaining daily staff appointment schedules and assisting/directing those requesting information to appropriate staff. Provides information to guests regarding Museum policies, history, exhibits, activities, and events. Work is performed independently and often in a high-demand setting.
Qualifications
Graduation from high school or an equivalent recognized certification; minimum of two (2) years of experience performing cashier or teller work.
PREFERENCE FOR TWO (2) YEARS OF EXPERIENCE: Providing customer service; preparing bank deposits; using a POS system (must specify on application).
Must be able to lift 25 pounds.
