We are currently seeking a qualified Project Engineer to join our team.
Location: Mississauga, ON
Responsibilities
- Lead the integrated product development team working on safety-critical embedded controllers to meet cost, schedule, and technical objectives
- Establish and maintain detailed technical plans, estimates, and schedules
- Facilitate scope/requirement discussions with technical teams and customer
- Lead the solution definition process from requirements definition through design, development, validation and verification, and introduction to production
- Ensure that project objectives are communicated to the project team and monitor that all technical project activities are aligned with the project schedule
- Track and report program progress, costs, risks, and milestones
- Lead internal and external design reviews and technical coordination meetings
- Ensure compliance with Aerospace Engineering Processes
- Coordinate proposal and quotation activities for RFP/RFI submission
- Responsible for the Engineering Solution
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Computer Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in Project Management – managing cost, schedule (MS Project), resources, risk management – PMP Certificate is an asset
- Working experience of overall engineering disciplines – systems, software, hardware development, certification for the aerospace electronics product
- Working knowledge/familiarity with standards, DO-178, DO-254 and DO-160 is an asset
- Take ownership of deliverables and coordinate with required stakeholders to meet deadlines
- Track timeline to delivery in high fidelity and report progress to program management
- Experience with managing engineering changes and non-conformances through established processes
- Experience with executive communication, ability to convey subtle or complex messages clearly
- Excellent leadership and management skills
- Excellent customer and supplier management skills
- Individuals who are self-motivated and able to work with little supervision, who consistently take the initiative to get things done
