Director, Product Development Project Management

Position Overview

This is a strategic leadership role responsible for overseeing and driving the successful execution of high-impact projects across the organization. This position involves managing multiple projects, aligning cross-functional teams, and ensuring that all projects meet their goals, timelines, and financial targets. The Director serves as a critical liaison between executive leadership, project teams, and stakeholders, ensuring that projects are aligned with the organization’s strategic objectives.

Responsibilities

Project Oversight

• Lead regular project meetings, providing status updates, resolving conflicts, and making decisions to keep projects on track.
• Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of all product development projects and programs.
• Monitor and track the progress of multiple projects, ensuring they remain on schedule and within budget.
• Evaluate project risks and develop mitigation plans to address potential roadblocks.
• Ensure quality assurance and adherence to established standards across all projects.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Serve as a primary point of contact between project teams, stakeholders, and executive leadership.
• Facilitate communication and collaboration among departments to ensure project alignment and resource allocation.
• Drive consensus and resolve conflicts to maintain project momentum

Strategic Leadership

• Own, organize, and facilitate stage-gate process for all projects
• Develop and implement project management strategies, methodologies, and best practices across the organization.
• Align project priorities with organizational goals, ensuring all initiatives support long-term business objectives.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to cross-functional teams.
• Collaborate with leadership and manage the portfolio for K18s product pipeline

Financial and Resource Management

• Provide regular financial and progress reports to executive leadership.

Continuous Improvement

• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of project management practices.
• Stay updated on industry trends, tools, and technologies to ensure the organization’s project management capabilities remain competitive.
• Conduct post-project reviews to evaluate outcomes and gather insights for future initiatives.

Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a related field.
• 5-10+ years experience as a Project Manager, specifically overseeing new product development of a consumer product good
• PMP is highly preferred
• Deep understanding of the product development lifecycle from conception to launch
• Experience with project management tools – Wrike, Microsoft Projects
• Exceptional communication and leadership skills with the ability to effectively coordinator, influence, and collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Commitment to driving results and fostering a culture of accountability.

Salary Range: $130,000 – $145,000

This range represents the low and high end of the anticipated base salary range for this position. The actual base salary will depend on numerous factors such as: experience, knowledge and skills, and if the location of the job changes.
