Job Description
We’re looking for a compassionate leader with a clinical background (LCSW, LMFT, PsyD/PhD), management experience, and a passion for continuous improvement. Familiarity with San Mateo County resources, managed care processes, and a knack for program development is a plus!
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a clinical expert and liaison for complex psychosocial challenges, coordinating behavioral health services and transitions with medical care teams and community partners.
- Facilitate case conferences, develop trainings, and promote staff competency in managing behavioral health needs for complex members.
- Lead performance improvement initiatives, policy updates, and compliance activities, including delegation oversight and NCQA requirements.
- Collaborate across departments and external organizations to support program development, implementation, and service coordination.
- Supervise staff by setting clear expectations, providing coaching and performance evaluations, and driving continuous process improvements.
Requirements

- Education & Licensure: Master’s degree in Social Work, Family Therapy, or Doctorate in Psychology with current unrestricted CA licensure required.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of related experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role. Program development/implementation and clinical case management experience preferred.
- Specialized Knowledge: Familiarity with San Mateo County provider resources, Medicare/Medi-Cal guidelines, managed care processes, and regulatory requirements. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, EMR systems (EPIC), and internet research.
- Skills & Abilities: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, team collaboration, adaptability to changing priorities, and effective engagement with diverse populations. Bilingual proficiency preferred.
- Additional Expertise: Experience in pediatrics, autism treatment/BCBA, and Milliman Care or ASAM guidelines preferred.
