Position Overview:

We’re seeking an enthusiastic, creative, and dedicated Per Diem Art and Music Group Facilitator to join our mental health team. In this role, you’ll lead dynamic group sessions that use the transformative power of art and music to encourage self-expression, emotional growth, and healing. What You’ll Do:

  • Facilitate engaging and therapeutic art and music-based group sessions, creating a supportive space for patients to explore emotions and express themselves creatively.
  • Use evidence-based art and music therapy techniques to guide sessions that promote emotional well-being and help participants build resilience and coping skills.
  • Collaborate with our treatment team to ensure sessions align with each patient’s goals and broader care plan.
  • Inspire group members to connect, share, and support each other’s creative journeys, fostering empathy and self-reflection within a community setting.
  • Document group progress and session outcomes in our electronic health records (EHR) system.
  • Stay current on best practices and innovations in creative arts therapies to continually enhance the quality and impact of our group sessions.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Art Therapy, Music Therapy, or a related field.
  • Active NJ state licensure (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, LSW, LAC).
  • Demonstrated experience leading art or music therapy sessions or similar creative group environments.
  • Ability to engage and connect with both adolescent and adult groups.
  • Strong communication, creativity, and group facilitation skills.
  • Genuine empathy and professionalism in interactions with all group members.
  • Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
