Roles And Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and implement drug policies and therapeutic guidelines to ensure optimal patient treatment options.
  • Conduct therapeutic drug monitoring and reviews to optimize dosage regimens specific to individual patient needs.
  • Identify potential medication errors and work towards implementing corrective measures for patient safety.
  • Manage and update hospital drug formulary to reflect current pharmaceutical standards and innovations.
  • Lead a team of pharmacologists and pharmacology technicians, providing mentorship and direction for skill enhancement.
  • Engage in inter-disciplinary collaborations to advance clinical, pharmaceutical, and therapeutic practices within the hospital.
  • Conduct training sessions and workshops to enhance the skills and knowledge of the medical and pharmacy team.
  • Participate in research and development projects on drug utilization and pharmacoeconomic evaluations.
