Associate Product Manager (Home and Small Business)

  • PLEASE NOTE: This role requires the candidate to be in or near Charlotte, NC. In-office presence is required three days a week. Additionally, this position does not offer visa sponsorship.*

POSITION SUMMARY:

Join LendingTree as an Associate Product Manager, where you will play a pivotal role in supporting key products within our marketplace. This position offers a front-row seat learning opportunity to support high-profile verticals, while building on existing product management skills.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support the full lifecycle of marketplace initiatives through research, design, development, launch.
  • Define, analyze, and document product requirements, effectively translating Epics into detailed User Stories with clear acceptance criteria.
  • Contribute in the Product Owner function of Scrum in Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Reviews, Retrospectives, and Refinement.
  • Aid in the coordination of feature launches, including cross-departmental alignment, marketing efforts, and post-launch analysis.
  • Identify needs and pain points of users, and translate those into detailed user stories, which capture both business objectives and user needs, and can be clearly defined and understood by the development team.
  • Stay current with industry trends, competitor products, and emerging technologies to inform product strategy.
  • Understand the business and product vision, strategy, and goals and support the implementation of process improvements that boost operational efficiencies.
  • Helps implement and monitor KPIs to measure success, publish results, drive insights, and define next steps.
  • With guidance, lead collaborative efforts with the Design, Product, Engineering, Data, Sales and Marketing teams to ensure alignment.
  • Contribute to building and communicating the product strategy and roadmap, incorporating market trends, competitive insights, business objectives, and technological capabilities.
  • Help drive product discovery, development, and testing efforts based on analytics insights and competitor benchmarks, with a focus on user desirability, technical feasibility, and business viability.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A minimum of 1-3 years of experience in a product role contributing to or leading the development of consumer-facing web and/or mobile platforms.
  • Knowledge of the Scrum framework and Agile principles (direct experience preferred).
  • Strong communicator who is comfortable working in high visibility role, regularly interacting with and managing expectations of many stakeholders. Able to translate complex information for a non-technical audience.
  • Possess the ability to navigate complex API documentation, develop integration strategies that align with business goals, and troubleshoot integration issues effectively.
  • A strong focus on delivering an exceptional customer experience, with a good eye for design.
  • A strategic thinker with the ability to translate insights into action, champion innovations, and lead projects to successful outcomes within a large organizational structure.
  • Intellectually curious and not just willing, but excited, to dive deeply into a new area of knowledge and quickly develop an expertise.
  • Organized and self-motivated, with the initiative to identify tasks and act with minimal supervision.
  • Analytical thinker with an exceptional attention to detail.
