Pilot Resources is looking for a Data Analyst to lead the design, development, and preparation of highly complex data sets and processes to support improvement in the Crew resources, crew operations and financial performance. An ideal candidate will be a result-oriented person with deep data manipulation experience. The candidate should have excellent organizational and communication skills and feel comfortable in a fast-paced environment. The role will support the analytics behind Crew Resources initiatives, projects, and programs.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and automate Crew performance reports and dashboards.
  • Cleaning and curating datasets by researching new data sources and collaborating with other business units to determine the best source for the data.
  • Wrangling large datasets using Python, SQL, etc. to identify opportunities and understand performance.
  • Locate and extract data from a variety of sources for use in analysis, models, and reporting.
  • Perform data engineering and validation to create data assets for the teams.
  • Support and maintain team ETL pipelines to ensure optimized and accurate outputs.
  • Responsible for managing multiple projects and priorities at the same time while balancing individual and conflicting priorities, aligning resources, and maintaining relationships with peers and internal customers across the Company.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with Crew and Flight Operations customers
  • Promotion of safety conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures.

What You Need To Succeed (minimum Qualifications)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Science, Business/management, mathematics/Statistics, Economics, or other relevant quantitative field;
  • or 5+ years of experience in analytics, information science, data visualization, or other relevant quantitative field; or Masters degree plus 3+ years of relevant work experience required.
  • Advanced level ability to manipulate data using programing language and create complex queries.
  • Strong technical, analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills.
  • Advanced level of understanding and experience with Python, SAS, SQL, or other database interface tool.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Ability to perform with a high level of accuracy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and multi-task.
  • If transferring internally, must be performing satisfactorily in current position.
  • Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data.
  • Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles.
  • Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.
  • Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States.
