Job Purpose
The Supply Chain Head oversees the end-to-end supply chain operations, including procurement, production, inventory management, logistics, and distribution. This role ensures that supply chain processes are efficient, cost-effective, and aligned with business objectives while maintaining high-quality standards and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive supply chain strategy to support business growth and operational efficiency.
- Lead and mentor the supply chain team, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to forecast demand and manage supply chain budgets.
- Establish and maintain relationships with key suppliers and vendors.
- Negotiate contracts and ensure timely procurement of raw materials and services.
- Monitor supplier performance to ensure compliance with quality and delivery standards.
- Optimize inventory levels to balance cost efficiency with demand fulfillment.
- Oversee warehouse operations to ensure proper storage, handling, and distribution of goods.
- Implement inventory control systems to minimize waste and improve accuracy.
- Coordinate with production teams to ensure alignment between supply and manufacturing schedules.
- Develop and manage production plans to meet customer demand efficiently.
- Identify and address potential bottlenecks in production and supply.
- Oversee logistics operations to ensure timely delivery of products to customers.
- Optimize transportation routes and methods to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
- Monitor and resolve issues related to shipping, customs, and delivery.
- Use analytics to monitor key supply chain metrics (e.g., lead time, cost per unit, on-time delivery).
- Identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Prepare reports and dashboards for senior management to track supply chain performance.
- Identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop mitigation strategies.
- Ensure compliance with all legal, regulatory, and environmental requirements.
- Stay updated on industry trends and changes in global supply chain regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related fields.
- Master’s degree (e.g., MBA) is preferred.
- Minimum of 8–10 years of experience in supply chain management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record in managing complex supply chain operations
- Experience working in Food Industry (will advantage)
