Habitat for Humanity International (HFHI) is seeking to hire a professional to fill the role of Manager, US Office (USO) Procurement & Contracts. This individual will report to the senior director of US Office Administration and work closely with US Office senior leaders to keep up to date on procurement needs and the associated projects lifespan. This position oversees all USO Procurement & Contracts Lifecycle Management. They will be responsible for working with leaders to analyze and identify whether contractor/vendor/temp worker requests can be completed using internal sources or whether outside suppliers must be employed. Requests that must be outsourced will certainly go through the formal process, which this role will manage. They will negotiate, draft, and execute contracts to ensure compliance with legal and business requirements, mitigate risk, and collaborate with the legal and program teams to facilitate agreements that support Habitat’s goals. They will ensure greater cross-team collaboration, resource sharing, uniformity, and knowledge management.
This position may be based remotely within the US.
Responsibilities
*Build and sustain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, identify organizational needs, influence vendor/contractor decisions, and craft, evaluate, negotiate, and execute various contracts covering a range of transactions.
*Develop and maintain relationships with contractors and vendors and serve as the singular point of contact for contract processing and execution.
*Maintain records for correspondence and documentation regarding established contracts and those in progress, tracking and communicating pertinent information to stakeholders.
*Communicate and present reporting to the USO executive level about all contract/vendor-related matters.
*Monitor contracts, move forward with close-out, extension, or renewal, and communicate status updates.
*Solve any contract-related problems that may arise with contractors/vendors and internally with HFHI staff.
*Managing the day-to-day operational relationship between the legal, purchasing, and finance teams, enforcing and socializing company policies; USO internal contract rules, implementing necessary changes and adhering to compliance procedures, laws and regulations.
*Oversee the implementation of and socialize the use of new systems-process-procedures to manage procurement across the US Office.
*Provide training to internal and external stakeholders on procurement procedures and processes and set expectations for project management quality and performance.
Requirements
*Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
*5+ years of experience in a procurement or purchasing environment.
*2+ years of contract and/or procurement lifecycle management.
*2+ years of experience reviewing or negotiating contracts; may be alternatively met with legal training or experience.
*Excellent written and verbal communication skills for succinct and informative business communications with clients, vendors, and stakeholders. Strong understanding of procurement and negotiation techniques. Overseeing the procurement process from the initiation of a purchase request to the final receipt and approval.
*Strong analytical abilities to evaluate contract terms, financial implications, and other risk areas in conjunction with business requirements to inform decision-making and strategy.
*Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with stakeholders, including internal departments, vendors, clients, and legal staff.
*Ability to understand and explain business contract concepts, including intellectual property (copyright and trademark in particular), indemnification, limitation of liability, and termination. Knowledge of the various contract and agreement types and differences.

The actual salary offered for this role will be based on a variety of factors, including location, internal equity and the candidate’s qualifications and professional experience. HFHI offers a competitive, comprehensive benefits package that varies by country and typically includes vacation leave, sick leave, personal days, health insurance options, retirement plan contributions and life insurance. For work locations in the US, the hiring range for this position is $64,430-$75,800.
