Qualifications
- Certified at the appropriate level
- Master’s Degree Required
- Minimum of 7 years of successful teaching experience
- Outstanding organizational and time management skills
- Effective presentation and communication skills

- Experience working with adult learners
- Knowledge of instructional technology
Reports to: Principal
Job Goal: To serve as an instructional support for teachers and students
Performance Responsibilities
- Facilitates the implementation of curriculum standards
- Promotes effective instructional practices in the classroom
- Assists in the identification and provision of professional development activities
- Provides professional learning for science, mathematics, social studies and other content
- Supports the process of continuous school improvement
- Observes and provides feedback regarding effective instructional practices
- Conducts demonstration lessons that reflect current research
- Trains teachers in data analysis and using data to differentiate instruction
- Coordinates the MTSS process at the school level
- Assists with the collection of data and analysis of data for school improvement
- Participates in the student intervention and response to instruction model
- Serves as an advisor to teachers new to the profession or to the school
- Teaches small groups of students as needed for intervention
- Organizes and leads teacher committees
- Collaborates with other lead teachers, reading (literacy) coaches, Reading Recovery, and interventionists
- Serves on district level committees as appropriate
- Serves as LEA if certified in administration
- Other appropriate duties assigned by principal
Terms of Employment: 190 day contract. Salary determined by placement on district teacher salary schedule and board approved annual supplement
Evaluation: Job performance evaluated annually in accordance with board policy on evaluation of professional personnel
