During the internship you will be assigned a mentor who will assign you projects based on your area of interest along with the needs of the plant with the intent to prepare you for a career in your desired field. Essential Functions
- Involved with evaluating and developing manufacturing processes by designing and conducting research programs; applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials; conferring with equipment vendors.
- Improves manufacturing efficiency by being involved in analyzing and planning work flow, space requirements, equipment layout, and workforce utilization.
- Promote and participate in shop floor work flow analysis and creating/implementation of standard work to achieve improvement priorities.
- Prepares product and process reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends. Leadership Competencies

Qualifications Required:
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program.
- Must be available to work full time for a minimum of 10 weeks.
- Familiar with Microsoft Office 365
- Self-motivated, flexible individual willing to switch priorities and maintain background tasks between more urgent projects.
- Good observation, organizational and note-taking skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiar with engineering math and basic statistics, or willing and able to learn.
Qualifications Desired:
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in engineering, chemistry, or material science.
