Job Description

The Scanning Coordinators are responsible for maintaining overall price integrity in their store. They conduct weekly price changes, including making shelf signs and tags, promotional signs if needed. They will also be working with Direct Store Delivery invoices. They may also assist with duties in the Customer Service Counter and must be able to perform all the duties of a cashier. They may do online shopping and may assist with call in shopping. They may also assist with duties given by the store manager to ensure the smooth running of the store.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent customer service by greeting, smiling, thanking, and providing service to all customers.
  • Maintains proper information on all items at the store level.
  • Make sure Price/Cost changes are correct in the point-of-sale system.
  • Making sure items are in proper department and reporting fields.
  • Ensure all specials are scanning correctly.
  • Maintain the override prices.
  • Verifies the accuracy of the price/cost changes/allowances in the store pricing system.
  • Scanning on sales
  • Scan TPR items on Friday.
    • Daily scanning to meet the store scanning requirements.
  • Scanning all promotions LEF or RORC
  • Enforces all pricing policies and procedures that are set in place.
  • Print various reports that are sent to department managers.
  • Maintain shelf tags throughout the store, order tags from the warehouse, make temporary tags as needed.
  • Putting up or verifying Price Change tags are up on the shelf.
  • All shelf-items should have a price tag under the item with the correct Unit of Measure (When order from warehouse it will come in correct)
  • All displays, end cap, and wings should be signed or tagged
  • Ensure that all display signs/tags are in place and accurate.
  • Make the signs if the Department Managers are unable to make them in a timely fashion.
  • All sales and TPR items must be sign/tag by the end of day Friday.
  • Respond to the needs and questions of department managers in a timely manner on any pricing issues.
  • Communicate with the File Maintenance office staff to report and resolve pricing issues, follow up on the issues.
  • Other duties may be requested or assigned.

Description: Additional Duties and Responsibilities

  • Shop orders for online shopping (if needed)
  • Check Aisle Scanners are functional.
  • Covering the store closing
  • Cover Bookkeeping on Day off and vacations (if needed)
  • Covering the Front end
    • Cover lunch and Breaks (If needed)
    • Run the register to get customers out of the store as quickly as possible, or maybe scheduled to be on a register.

Education/Experience

  • High school education, or GED preferred but not required.
  • Previous Grocery or retail experience preferred but not required.

Physical Requirements

  • Frequent Standing
  • Occasional sitting
  • Ability to lift (up to 50 lbs.)
