We are looking for a meticulous and organized Material Planner to join our Operations team. This role is critical in ensuring seamless production scheduling, inventory management, and supply chain coordination to meet business objectives. Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Planner will analyze demand, create efficient plans, and work closely with cross-functional teams to optimize resources and deliver results.

  • This is a full-time on-site position on our Norcross Atlanta site **

A day in the life and how you’ll make an impact:

  • Develop and maintain production schedules to meet customer demand while optimizing resource utilization and minimizing downtime.
  • Monitor inventory levels, forecast requirements, and coordinate with the procurement team to ensure material availability.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and logistics partners to ensure timely delivery of materials and components.
  • Analyze sales forecasts and historical data to anticipate future production needs.
  • Identify inefficiencies in planning and scheduling processes and implement improvements to enhance accuracy and productivity.
  • Work closely with the Production, Quality, and Supply Chain teams to address any bottlenecks or challenges in the planning process.
  • Prepare and present reports on production performance, inventory levels, and capacity planning to the Operations Manager and leadership team.
  • Address and resolve scheduling conflicts or material shortages to minimize disruption to operations

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in production Material planning, or a related role within a manufacturing or operations environment.
  • Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems and advanced Excel skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
  • Exceptional time management and organizational skills to handle multiple priorities effectively.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration across teams.
  • APICS CPIM or CSCP certification – a plus.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
