CENTRUS
The Centre Block Rehabilitation Project is a complex long-term heritage renovation, rehabilitation, and rejuvenation project of national interest within the Parliamentary Precinct. The project is serviced by CENTRUS, a dedicated, multi-disciplinary team with members from A49 and other joint venture organizations. Working from Canada’s national capital, the team is focused on the extensive renovation, repair, upgrade, and replacement of various crucial components of the building. In joining this office, A49 team members have the opportunity to influence the way our nation’s Parliament works for the next 100 years.
Responsibilities
- Assist with conceptual designs to communicate with clients and stakeholders in collaboration with team and Project Manager.
- Support the research, sourcing and specifying of finishes, furniture systems, fixtures as required.
- Prepare deliverables in REVIT required at various project stages including functional programming, schematic design, working drawings, and contract administration.
- Contribute to site audits or surveys to document existing conditions.
- Support and assist as necessary with contract administration during construction.
Qualifications
- Intern or Registered Interior Designer in Ontario (ARIDO), or eligible to be registered in Ontario
- College diploma or university degree in Interior Design from a CIDA accredited program
- Min of 2 + years of work experience in Interior Design
- Experience with BIM principles & workflows, REVIT software, Microsoft 365 environment and Bluebeam is required
- Experience with Interior Design drawing package coordination and production would be considered an asset
- Experience in functional programming and selecting materials and furnishings would be considered an asset
- Ability to obtain Reliability/Secret level security clearance
- Bilingualism (English & French) is considered an asset
