Role Summary:
You will be responsible to develop and lead the Process Engineering team to achieve all performance targets for current production, new product estimation, and new product launch. You will work directly with plant operations, engineering, sales, and program management to develop, implement, and manage a Decoupled III scientific injection molding strategy and that meets all business objectives and focuses on continuous improvement.
As a working manager and will direct the team and drive the success of specific projects to achieve ongoing productivity improvements that improve the safety, quality, profitability, and productivity of the injection molding processes.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Be a role model for safety process and safe work behaviors and practices
- Work closely with Operations and together implement strategies and key performance indicators
- Direct, schedule, supervise, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of Processing Engineers and Process Technicians. This includes on-time completion of annual performance reviews
- Expert in data driven decoupled III process control, root cause problem solving, error proofing, and continuous improvement throughout the manufacturing area
- Responsible for driving improvements on specific KPI’s (equipment, scrap reduction, changeover time reduction, quality, etc.)
- Establish standards for use in the estimation and new product launch process, standards for accurate and timely estimation of manufacturing costs, cycle times, yields, and assignments
- Ensure the Process Engineering team are completing new product launch glide path deliverables on-time for each phase of launch
- Collaborate with the new product launch teams to integrate new products and engineering changes into production
- Lead the research and development process in the identification of new equipment and/or processing methods
- Complete annual department expense and capital planning budgets

- Bachelor’s degree in engineering field (or the equivalent work experience) with 8-10+ years injection molding experience
- Minimum 3-5+ years of management/ supervisory experience
- Advanced knowledge of Decouple III Scientific Methods of Molding, Design of Experiments, and Rigorous Mold Tryouts
- Experience leading new product integration, new machine integrations, capacity planning
- Highly effective in team leadership with strong interpersonal and team development skills
- High level of data driven problem solving capability
- Strong project and program management skills
- Able to communicate and work with customers, suppliers, and individuals in all levels of the organization
- Demonstrated budgeting, cost justification and manufacturing process accounting skills
- Strong verbal, written, presentation and communication skills
