AIR is looking for a Director of Inventory Assets to oversee our aircraft parts repair management process. The ideal candidate is a regional airline professional with a strong understanding of the importance of aircraft parts within the airline operation. You must be comfortable making timely decisions based on experience and analysis and be able to discern between situations where you can wait to act until all information is known and situations where an immediate action is necessary, even in the face of uncertainty. You must be comfortable with ever changing priorities of inherent in aviation. The above said, you will have wide latitude in managing this part of our operation. As a member of our senior management team, you will have a say in the direction of our company. Starting salary is commensurate with experience, and we reward hard work and results. Responsibilities:

  • Manage the rotable parts repairs process from beginning to end, including vendor selection and relationship maintenance.
  • Manage customer billing activities related to “Exchange Transactions.”
  • Continuously monitor stock levels to ensure AIR’s support level to our customer is not compromised by “no stock” scenarios.
  • Advise senior management on appropriate strategy for high value items such as engines, landing gear, etc.
  • Monitor vendor performance (i.e. warranty claims, turn time, cost, responsiveness) and take appropriate actions.
  • Interface with the Quality Assurance team to ensure compliance with all processes and procedures.
  • Interface with other functional teams including Sales, Accounting and HR with a purpose of mutual benefit and respect
  • Oversight, mentorship and development of your team, which will include varying levels of experience.
  • Seek out opportunities for repair development, vendor partnerships and other methods to enhance AIR’s value to our customers.

Qualifications:

  • A Fundamental commitment to a “customer first” mentality.
  • At least 5-10 years of aviation parts/maintenance experience
  • Experience in stock room/warehouse management preferred
  • Experience in rotable parts repair administration preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Ability to multi-task, organize, and prioritize work
  • Airline parts experience a major plus
  • A & P Mechanic certification a plus
  • Ability to work in the USA
  • Standard mobility and warehouse oriented lifting/physical ability

This is a full-time position based out of our corporate headquarters just south of Mansfield, Texas. Your regular work hours will be Monday through Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm. After a period of training, you will be required to join our rotating after hours on-call team. This includes nights, weekends and holidays.
