- 36 Hours per weekGuaranteed Hours: Not specifiedExperience: Minimum of 3 yearsLicense: Registered Nurse (RN) LicenseCertifications: BLS, PALS, ACLS, CPIMust-Have: Experience in emergency room settings and knowledge of EMTALA regulationsJob Description:- Responsible for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.- Provide direct patient care within the defined scope of practice.- Direct and guide patient and family education as well as activities of other nursing personnel while upholding standards of professional nursing.- Accountable for patient care in the Emergency Department and responsible for effective communication with physicians regarding changes in patients’ clinical conditions.- Respond quickly and accurately to changes in a patient’s condition or treatment response.- Knowledgeable about reporting requirements for child/adult abuse to appropriate agencies and Hospital Social Workers.- Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality at all times.
