Job Description

The GL Accountant provides organized and detail-oriented full-cycle accounting support within the Finance Department.

Responsibilities

The Supervisor is expected to have the ability to fully perform the following duties and responsibilities:

  • G/L postings, fixed assets/depreciation, cost-center allocations, prepaid expenses, and accrued expenses.
  • Bank reconciliations.
  • Balance sheet reconciliations, supports, and schedules.
  • Ensuring financial records comply with regulatory standards.
  • Analyzing financial data and providing financial recommendations.
  • Assist in monthly close process and financial statement preparation.
  • Assist in budgeting, financial statements, and variance analysis.
  • Monitor and maintain the integrity of the GL accounting system, specifically the chart of accounts.
  • Assist with preparation and responses for various types of audits.
  • Work closely with NetSuite Consultant.
  • Perform other related tasks that may be required from time to time.

Qualifications

  • Candidates must be a graduate of Accountancy.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years accounting/finance or related experience.
  • Intermediate level of understanding and experience in Microsoft Excel, preferably with experience using pivot tables.
  • With Oracle NetSuite experience.
  • Knowledge of or experience with Xero, Bill.com and other ERP system is a plus.
  • CPA is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy.
  • Has working experience in multi-cultural or shared services environment is an advantage.
  • Has ability to handle confidential information.
  • Ability to work independently, in a team and able to adapt in changing situation.
