What To Expect (Job Responsibilities)
- Pre-register and schedule patients for appointments, procedures, tests, and other services
- Handle incoming calls and complete follow-up and referral work queues
- Communicate with patient care teams to ensure efficient care delivery
- Complete patient checkout and schedule follow-up appointments as per physician’s orders
- Accurately enter data into the electronic health record while interacting with patients
What Is Required (Qualifications)
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical healthcare experience OR 1 year of experience as a Patient Scheduler I OR 1 year of experience in a contact/call center
- Proficiency in scheduling multiple service lines in a high-call volume environment
- Ability to obtain required signatures and documents from patients
- Experience coordinating the scheduling of services for patients
- Strong customer service skills and ability to work as part of a care team
How To Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
- Experience with Population Management and Chronic Disease Management initiatives
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems
- Previous work in a fast-paced healthcare environment
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills
