We are looking for a committed and licensed Special Education Teacher to deliver remote education and support to K-12 students throughout South Carolina. This independent contractor role provides a flexible arrangement, allowing you to work from home while making a significant difference in the lives of students.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement lesson plans driven by Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) to cater to each student’s distinctive needs.
- Collaborate effectively with parents, fellow educators, and support personnel to facilitate the attainment of students’ educational objectives.
- Maintain precise and updated records of student progress, complying with state and district regulations.
- Create a supportive and engaging virtual learning environment for students.
- Continuously evaluate and adapt teaching strategies to improve student outcomes.
Qualifications
- Valid Special Education teaching certification in South Carolina.
- A minimum of two years of experience in a special education setting.
- Proficiency with remote teaching tools and online learning platforms.
- Strong capacity to communicate and work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders, including parents and educational staff.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail in monitoring student records and advancements.
