How You Will Contribute

Reporting to Rich Nautel, the junior services project manager will assist the senior services PMs on the team with overall management for implementation of field installation projects in the customers’ network.

In this role, you will…

  • Work with senior service PM’s and assist with all aspects of project management
  • Partner directly with internal and external customers to translate requirements into structured and executable tasks and milestones
  • Validate Project “Scope of Work” to Develop detailed project plan
  • Provide Project SOW Package to Functional teams to facilitate Internal Resource Planning and/or Partner RFQ’s
  • Work closely with Engineering, Deployment Coordinators and Partners on project implementation
  • Facilitate communication between internal groups, internal functions, and outside suppliers/customers
  • Develop and coordinate carefully designed and approved action plans
  • Maintain project schedules and reports to Management regularly or as agreed.
  • Participate in, or lead, process improvement initiatives as assigned.
  • Provide input to department budgets as assigned.

The Must Haves

Candidate/incumbents must meet the minimum qualifications as detailed below or have a combination of education and/or experience deemed equivalent

  • Customer-focused with strong problem-solving, decision-making, and critical thinking skills.
  • Proficient in organizational structure, planning, and project coordination.
  • Effective communicator with outstanding leadership and team-building abilities.
  • Experienced in resource management, outsourcing, and proficient with Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledgeable in JIT concepts and able to learn project management software packages.

Compensation And Benefits

The annual pay range for this position is $55,400 – 88,600.

Pay ranges at Ciena are designed to accommodate variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions, and locations, reflecting our diverse products, industries, and lines of business. Please note that the pay range information provided in this posting pertains specifically to the primary location, which is the top location listed in case multiple locations are available.

Non-Sales employees may be eligible for a discretionary incentive bonus, while Sales employees may be eligible for a sales commission.
