POSITION SUMMARY

The Visual Digital Designer will play a crucial role on the digital team, responsible for leading the end-to-end design process from concept to completion. This role is ideal for a hands-on designer with a deep understanding of digital best-practices, responsive design, an unquestionably keen eye, and a mastery of design software. The ideal candidate will be a collaborative creative thinker, detail-oriented self-starter, and possess exceptional visual design skill for digital media. This position requires high attention to detail with a passion to push the envelope in smart and creative ways.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Digital Arts/Graphic Design (or related field) or equivalent years of experience

• 5-7 years of relevant work experience in the digital design industry.

• Highly skilled in Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro and After Effects). Working knowledge of Figma/Sketch is a plus.

• Familiarity with current UX and prototyping tools

• Experience in content creation and UX principals (guiding teams with directional copy and design flow)

• Ability to storyboard, comp visual ideas, and create light creative copy

• Advanced conceptual creative and production skills with a strong understanding of layout principles, aesthetic design concepts and typography

• Proven experience creating campaigns and extending the look and feel through various marketing materials

• Able to complete tasks within tight schedules and under strict layout controls

• Knowledge and advocacy of user-centered digital design principles

• Strong presentation skills

• Works well in a team environment

• Works quickly under pressure and turn around designs on tight deadlines

• Responsive design experience

• An exceptional online portfolio showcasing interactive design that demonstrates refined use of typography, layout, unique visual language development, and an understanding of usability principles

JOB DUTIES

• *Conceptualize and produce digital collateral for marketing and sales, including original campaigns, OLA, EDM, Websites, applications, and motion graphics

• *Conceptualize and produce storyboards to provide clear and concise direction for animation

• *Produce motion graphics to exacting detail provided by a brief and/or storyboard

• *Formulate forward-thinking concepts and render designs for digital media and solutions while always elevating our client’s brand

• *Identify fresh and innovative design solutions that push the boundaries of the client brand and explore more effective formats and/or media channels

• *Provide original and effective visual solutions by leading the execution of client creative requests and creative projects

• *Provide creative input for digital projects both internally and externally

• *Sketch and wireframe digital experiences

• *Create user flows, sitemaps and other communication artifacts

• Develop simple interactive prototypes

• Communicate and articulate design rationales

• Work closely with developers to build functional prototypes quickly, thus a strong knowledge of how design and technology work together is a must
